Suan Luang Rama IX Park
Covering 200 acres the glorious Suan Luang Rama IX Public Park was a gift to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary in 1987. For those who would like to visit as a group and request the services of an official guide, kindly contact the office of the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation at the garden’s office.
The park’s international garden showcases many examples of beautiful flora from the 4 corners of the globe including Chinese and Japanese gardens representing the East, Spanish, English, French and Italian Gardens representing the West and a special zone for the United States of America featuring a Geodesic dome used for planting drought-resistant plants such as cacti.
A wide variety of energetic and not so energetic activities can be enjoyed in the park including walk and run rallies, aerobics, swordplay, Tai kek, and Yoga. In addition, there is an exercise facility containing exercise equipment for both children and adults. One “can’t miss” event held in the park is the annual Suan Luang Rama IX Flower Festival which takes place in early December.
Open daily from 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. (an admission fee applies between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
